TEHRAN (NIORDC) __ Projects are under way which will bring Iran"s total Euro-4 gasoil production capacity to 57 million liters per day from currently 29 ml/d by March 2019.
Head of the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company (NIORDC) Alireza Sadiqabadi said an average of 29 million liters of Euro-4 gasoil was being produced domestically in Iran that would be nearly doubled once new refining projects become operational by the end of the current Iranian calendar year to March 20, 2019.
By the time the naphtha hydrotreator unit of Bandar Abbas Refinery comes online, a total of 16 ml/d of Euro-4 gasoil would be added to the facility"s daily output, he said.
The official further added that the unit would bring the sulfur content of its gasoil from 350 ppm to 50 ppm in line with Euro-4 standards.
Sadiqabadi emphasized that the refinery"s isomerization unit would soon come online, adding it would convert the plant"s 12 ml/d gasoline output to Euro-4 petrol.
Furthermore, Persian Gulf Star Refinery"s Euro-4 gasoil output would reach 12 ml/d by March 2019, adding all the projects would double the country"s gasoil production capacity.
