Company (IOPTC)

IOPTC is one of the major subsidiary companies of NIORDC. It is established to play the role of bringing a synergy between the various sources of supply of energy and the consumers. As it appears from the name of the company, IOPTCs main activities are focused on two areas as below:

·         Pipeline Management:

Through the pipeline network, NIORDC is able to receive crude oil from production fields or receiving terminals and transfer it to the refineries. Again, through another pipeline, petroleum products are destined for export. The same route are used to import needed products.

IOPTC developed other pipelines to transport intermediate products among the refineries and another for petrochemical plants. It occasionally transports LPG to storage terminals and distribution centers scattered all over the country.

IOPTCs operational capacity is 50,000 million tones per year and operated through the following existing facilities:

-          14000 km pipelines of 4-36inches.

-          175pump stations, pressure reduction and oil transport installations.

-          163 sets of turbins and 24 turbo generators.

-          181 sets of Electromotor(Buster pump).

-     300 Cathodic Protection Stations.

-     1350000 Hp Power Installed.

-     299 Sets Of Main Pressure Enhancement Pumps.

·         Telecommunication Management:

This division of IOPTC is responsible for ensuring the smooth industrial communication of all the parts and aspects of this industry including long-distance, local, sound, computer, installations, extensive pipelines network. It also interconnects the NIORDCs headquarter with other affiliates of the Petroleum Ministry as well as some other governmental organizations.

To achieve these responsibilities, IOPTC uses the follwing facilities:

-Radio network including 215 radio stations with 200,000 E1km capacity.

-telephone network including 105 telephone centers with 24,000 dials and various capacities.

-2,500 km of subterranean & internal cable network.

-management Phone Network (Key System) includin 16 sets with the capacity of 420 parts.

-VHF mobile phone network along pipelines & refineries with 100,000 km2 surface coverage.

-Industrial and non-industrial vocal systems for fire alarm,fire fighting,and operation.

-100 satelite terminals for temporary needs,emergencies and critical situations.

-900 km of 16-line optical fiber for supporting telecommunication & data transferming increasing needs.other facilities like training correspondence,medical.

-Correspondence,video conferences (SCADA) ,internet connections and etc.

IOPTC is heading towards renovating its out-dated network through the use of radio digital network and optical fiber and satellite communications.with the diversity of experiences gathered throughout its history,IOPTC is capable of offering the following services:     

-          Debottlenecking, reconstruction and renovation of pipelines and coating.

-          Repairs of Solers and Raston turbines

-          Pre-commissioning and commissioning of pump station pipelines.

-          Operation of pump stations.

-          Replacement and renovation of pump station control systems,

-          Designing of telecommunication networks.

-          Installing and commissioning of telecommunications stations.

-          Repairing and maintenance of radio and telephone networks.
